PECULIARITIES OF THE ORGANISM'S REACTION TO DOSED HYPOXIA IN ELDERLY PEOPLE WITH IMPAIRED GLUCOSE TOLERANCE

چکیده
Background. The incidence of carbohydrate metabolism disorders increases with age, resulting in a significantly increased risk cardiovascular disease. Hypoxia plays an important role the pathogenesis disorders. aim – to establish features hypoxia elderly impaired tolerance.
Materials and methods. 20 people glucose tolerance 23 preserved were examined. Determined concentration insulin blood when breathing air oxygen content 12%.
Results. With tolerance, decrease saturation is more significant than tolerance. Shifts are greater, but ratio Δ concentration/ΔSpO2 higher during did not differ different Δinsulin /ΔSpO2 less. In relationship was found between levels after 120 minutes test SpO2 shifts hypoxia, as well HOMA index hypoxia.
Conclusions. Elderly have reduced resistance utilization due smaller changes concentrations. At same time at them disturbance depends on hypoxia.

متن کاملPerceived Symptoms in People Living with Impaired Glucose Tolerance
The aim of the study was to identify symptoms in people with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and describe their experiences of living with the symptoms which they related to their condition. Twenty-one participants, from a cross-sectional population-based study, diagnosed as having IGT, were invited for an interview. The interviews were analyzed in two phases by means of a manifest and latent ...
متن کاملAlpha-glucosidase inhibitors for people with impaired glucose tolerance or impaired fasting blood glucose.
BACKGROUND Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors (AGIs) reduce blood glucose levels and may thus prevent type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease in patients with impaired glucose tolerance. These possible effects, and the effects on quality of life, plasma lipids and body weight, have never been investigated in a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. OBJECTIVES To assess the effects of al...
متن کاملImpaired Secretion of Total Glucagon-like Peptide-1 in People with Impaired Fasting Glucose Combined Impaired Glucose Tolerance
OBJECTIVE We assessed the serum glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) levels for Chinese adults with pre-diabetes (PD) and newly-diagnosed diabetes mellitus (NDDM) during oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). The relationships between total GLP-1 level and islet β cell function, insulin resistance (IR) and insulin sensitivity (IS) were also investigated. METHODS A 75g glucose OGTT was given to 531 su...
متن کاملAdipokine Pattern in Subjects with Impaired Fasting Glucose and Impaired Glucose Tolerance in Comparison to Normal Glucose Tolerance and Diabetes
AIM Altered adipokine serum concentrations early reflect impaired adipose tissue function in obese patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). It is not entirely clear whether these adipokine alterations are already present in prediabetic states and so far there is no comprehensive adipokine panel available. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess distinct adipokine profiles in patients with no...
